Sharif H. Banna is the Director of Islamic Institute for Research and Development (IIDR). He is a Board Member of the Research Centre for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) based at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Maqasid Institute Global (MIG). He has taught courses on Islamic Legal Theory and Ethics at Oxford University. Sharif H. Banna has authored over ten books and completed writing The Sirah of the Final Prophet at the age of fifteen. His preliminary studies of classical Islamic sciences was under the tutelage of his father Shaykh Abdul Qadir and later with other renowned Islamic scholars. He graduated in Law & Arabic from SOAS (University of London) and is pursuing a PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University.
